This basically just felt like watching "Season of the Witch" again. I do not want to watch "Season of the Witch" again.
It shares the streaking plot and rampant animated effects usage of the other film, as well as a bland plot and poorly fleshed out characters. Basically what happens is there's this guy who ran away from home and became a dick, but then the devil told him that his soul was forfeit, so he went off to live in a convent. Then he got chucked out, for poorly explained reasons, and then made friends with some puritans and battled some evil guy who turns out to be his brother and... yeah.
The acting isn't particularly bad, but the plot is far too convoluted and meandering, and the pacing is far too fast most of the time, with brief breaks of boring slowness. There are a few interesting creature concepts thrown in (I particularly liked the mirror monsters at the start) but everything is so poorly explained and all the back story-building dialog is so clunky. It's not completely terrible, but I do regret watching it.
