Two people brake up, but neither sort of wants to (sound familiar?) The "interesting" thing here is that they live together in an expensive flat, and neither of them wants to move out (sound familiar? No, me neither).
It's Jennifer Aniston (who, to be honest, I've been underwhelmed at in everything save 'Office Space') and Vince Vaughn (who's, uh... Who's doing good...) I think both are overrated, but they do alright here, perhaps because they both play idiots (OK, too far. I'll stop now).
It's kind of like one of those American shows where they all live together in front of a live studio audience who we listen to laugh at them as we sit in silence looking for what else is on (I'm not stopping, I'm sorry, I know it's called a sitcom). Some of the scenes are funny, but they just feel so contrived that you can see where a future joke is being formed. The characters all fit into categories like The Funny Friend, or The Scary Boss, and rarely try to break out of their slots.
The one good thing (other than some of the comedy, which was funny, if unintentionally eye-rolling) was that they didn't end up getting back together, though disappointingly the movie basically screamed reassuringly at us that they almost definitely will in the future, and not to worry our silly little heads.
