A poorly directed and sloppily executed action fest that fails to have much emotion. The lead is bland and none of the acting is great, the action is fair but repetitive, and feels like it's trying to make up for the lack of depth or story line. The actual fight scenes aren't terrible, but I consistently fail to care.
Sigourney Weaver plays the big bad, and her acting is probably the best in the movie, but it's far from her best work. Her character is similar to the one that she played in 'Paul' but she isn't trying as hard here. Bruce Willis also turns up and then dies after a few minutes, which I assume was a ploy to draw in more crowds.
A surprisingly stale and unimaginative movie for one featuring two fairly big names, 'The Cold Light of Day' delivers on action, but fails to be interesting in any other way. "I'm sick of this" says Weaver towards the end. Yeah, we all are.
