The Breed

Sort of like 'The Birds' but with dogs, and not scary or particularly enjoyable. We're introduced to the usual bait characters to give us an idea of what we're in for (dogs) and then some more people turn up who we are meant to care about. They are all unimaginatively constructed and their acting is rarely passable. There was one nice shot in the whole thing, where a car stops right at the edge of a cliff and the camera pans down and around to see the sea, before rotating back up again.
The dogs were well trained though - better than the human actors, anyway - though I don't understand why they had a variety of breeds. Surely if they've been bred for a while they would all at least look slightly the same? Unless it was a drug that the army was giving them or something, I wasn't paying that much attention to the plot to be honest.
I found it pretty funny when the guy shot the girl in the leg by accident, and the scene just carried on like normal (with the same ludicrous tension music) despite something so comic happening. A lot of the scenes in this were funny, without meaning to be. There were certainly far more laughs than scares.
Also, seems like Michelle Rodriguez is in every B horror movie, huh?
