A big, dumb, blunt comedy that feels like it was made at least 10 years before 2008. 'Strange Wilderness' is a fun ride, if fairly nonsensical.
It's a mixture of 'Wayne's World', 'Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny' and 'Airplane'. Alas it is worse than all three, and consists mainly of a (too large) group of interchangeable stoners in an RV hunting for Bigfoot to include in their nature show (which I think I'd actually watch if it was on late).
The clips of their show are some of the best moments of the film, but there's plenty of other dumb stuff to laugh at. One of my favourite scenes was were the group were introduced to Dick (no second name - "like Cher but Dick") and they basically laugh at him for five minutes.
Actually now that I think about it the whole movie is really funny, but you have to be in the right, uh, mood to appreciate it.
